I have not seen a single person on this site that actually understands what’s going on. First of all the healthcare subsidies were put in place during Covid when they were trying to stop a pandemic. Subsidies were always set to and with the pandemic. Democrats kept extending the subsidies. And yes, those subsidies included illegal aliens think about it logically it was a pandemic to stop everyone from dying. They even covered insurance for people here illegally. The subsidies were only meant for the pandemic not for life. The Republicans aren’t stopping the subsidies. They are just not extending it. The subsidies naturally expire in January. Think about it before the pandemic these subsidies did not exist. And the subsidies are not sustainable. And the government is not subsidizing anything they are using taxpayer dollars to pay for the subsidies. For 2025 the subsidies cost $9 billion of taxpayer money and they are set to increase annually.
Almost all European countries have Social Democratic government and Healthcare for all. Somehow, it works. Let's try and get it to work here!

They don’t want to extend it because it’s already on life support because of the way it was written the federal government funding for Obama care has gone up From 2014 to 2020, the federal government's share of an average benchmark premium increased from \(68\%\) to \(80\%\) as total premiums rose. From 2021 to 2025, new subsidies significantly increased the government's share to \(93\%\).
Just so we're clear, the rethugliklans are responsible for any Healthcare cost increases.
