I bet if someone showed her this she still wouldn't get it: What the UCMJ Says - Article 90 & 92: These articles criminalize disobedience of lawful orders. Orders are presumed lawful unless they clearly violate the Constitution, U.S. law, or international law. - Article 77 (Principals): States that anyone who commits, aids, abets, counsels, commands, or causes a crime is equally guilty. This means obeying an illegal order makes the subordinate just as liable as the superior. - Duty to Disobey: Military law and practice emphasize that service members must refuse orders that are manifestly illegal (e.g., targeting civilians, committing crimes, falsifying records). Obeying such orders can result in prosecution under the UCMJ. - Oath of Enlistment: Service members swear to obey orders “according to regulations and the Uniform Code of Military Justice.” This explicitly ties obedience to legality under the UCMJ
