IMHO because Senator Kelly was one of the candidates that Kamala Harris was looking at for VP in her campaign Kelly is a threat to Trump. He is strong in his opposition of the Trump administration. Dems need a strong leader to step forward, so Kelly is an easy target to discredit and take off the table as a possible presidential nominee. In the REAL world, however, I'm pretty sure that his comment that soldiers should obey the law caused no true harm to anyone and whether the Trump pursues the court marshall route or law suit against Kelly, the case would be thrown out due to lack of merit since telling soldiers to obey the law isn't a crime. Someone who has actually served and has kept his oath to defend the Constitution, or a convicted felon who has never served and has ti.e and again offended military personnel and has tried to pervert the Constitution to serve his personal purposes instead of honoring his oath to defend the Constitution. What happens when Dumpy orders the military to directly attack Venezuela? And that's becoming more likely every day. Will our military be ordered to kill civilians, including women and children? There's always a high civilian collateral damage during war. Congress should be acting immediately to enact legislation that leaves no question that aggressive, unilateral attacks are unlawful if ordered by the President without Congressional approval.
