I work in a grocery store. I see what these people buy. It’s unbelievable. I could see if they were buying food but watching them buy steaks and roast bacon chips, pop, ice cream, candy, etc. except for buying vegetables and fruit them are the people that need food stamps to be cutnot the people that buy food

The judges do not have the power of the purse!!!!!!! The Constitution gives the power of the purse to Congress. For all their finger pointing, the Democrats could solve this problem with the power of voting. Senate Democrats have now voted 16 times to not fund the food stamp program, also known as the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP). Bottom line, the well has run dry. At this time, there will be no benefits issued November 01. We are approaching an inflection point for Senate Democrats. They can continue to hold out for healthcare for illegal aliens and gender mutilation procedures or reopen the government so mothers, babies, and the most vulnerable among us can receive critical nutrition assistance. This is all the Democrats no one else!!!!!

Also, majority of people who receive assistance pay taxes. And for those constantly pulling the race card, white people and Asians actually make up the majority of SNAP recipients. Y’all are so worried about what other people buy with their benefits like It’s not your SNAP card, so why do you care what someone else eats? The lack of compassion and open-mindedness is sad. I just hope none of you “perfect” people ever become seriously ill or fall on hard times, because then you might have to rely on the same assistance you’re judging others for smh!!

I am empathetic for those parents stressed about having food to feed their children but we receive no assistance and EVERY week we are choosing between a full tank of gas or groceries. We have never had assistance to relieve that pressure. I think this is where people get frustrated hearing that statement.

I barely have enough to pay the rest of my bills cause they're so high & they just keep raising the water, electricity, & everything else. I'd like to see them live like we do. Then they'd actually see how it is for ppl that don't have millions in the bank to use. I was 36yo & had 5 strokes in 8 days. 7 total now. I'd love to go back to work but I can't.
