just read an article Trump is refusing the court order to release food stamps until the Democrats vote for what Trump has demanded. he told republicans to stand firm. instead of working together.
Trump and the USDA knew they were LEGALLY obligated to disperse the contingency funds and find other ways to FULLY fund SNAP. It said right on the USDA website. SNAP funding has never been stopped during a shutdown since it was implemented in 1964 by then President Lyndon B Johnson. While SNAP has historically been funded during shutdowns by using contingency funds, this is the first time benefits have been reduced to half. So during the last shutdown under Trump he knew that SNAP benefits had to be funded, nows he's playing stupid, because if the courts wouldn't have stepped in I dont think Trump or the USDA would have funded it. Its a political leverage against the BLUE to open the government. Well a judge stopped that. This administration is just cruel no matter how you look at it. The BLUE is fighting to keep healthcare affordable for people who are already struggling. They are not asking for the LIES the RED are trying so hard to get people to believe.

How to do it? 🤣 SNAP was funded during the 2018 to 2019 government shutdown because the USDA used its contingency funds when Trump was in office. The USDA website said and I quote, "The well has run dry!" a few days before Trump was SUED by 25 states and then two federal judges ruled he must use the contingency funds! Trump was withholding contingency funds to pressure Democrats to pass the CR by using 43 million starving people as leverage. Just recently the democrats introduced a standalone bill to only fund SNAP and WIC outside the main Continuing resolution, and guess what? The Republicans blocked 🚫 it!

In PA, we aren't even getting partial payments. I got a message roughly 20 minutes ago stating that payments are paused to the Govt shutdown and they will notify us when payments will begin again. That means not even partial payments or they would have said that.
They have Everything on Computers so it shouldn’t take that long🤔
