It is now 35 days since the government shutdown. Why are Republucans not showing up to work? Because Trump and Johnson said so. They have lost 35 days of negotiation. Why? Because they are trying to bully the Democrats into voting yes on the bill as is. They have no intention of reaching across the aisle to negotiate later.
