I was married to two alcoholics. The first one was mentally abusive and the second was physically abusive. people ask, why didn't you just leave? Well I left the first one and he make 23.00 an our in the 90s and he got an attorney and got everything and even my kids! The second one, I had to be escorted in and out of my house and town because him and the males of his family threatened to abuse me in horrific ways and then throw me in a well where I would never be found. Leaving isn't as easy as you think.
