ex Navy and we never did this even during SEAL training the only people that go deep they start out at the bottom and go up or the bubbleheads in case they have to escape their subs this is nothing but pure fake unfortunately last time I understand the Navy is not even requiring you to learn how to swim now that is pathetic

Being a former Training NCO with the 77th Port Construction Company, a company made up of deep sea salvage and construction divers as well as SCUBA divers, I can tell there is no such test even to become a diver. You are required to swim 500 meters nonstop and be able to tread water for two minutes. These two requirements in addition to a number of other physical requirements are prerequisites for becoming a diver in the U S Army!
