This brings memories back, my 1st born was 3-4 yrs old and he threw a sissy fit, then he went upstairs and came down with his back pack filled with toys and his blankie a long with his little stuffed lion, 😆 well he went out the front door, walked to the corner and stood there for about 5 minutes, Then I see him walking back, came to front door and said he is not allowed to cross the road by himself, lord have mercy those big brown eyes with tear drops just broke my heart, so e ask if he could come back in, and will be good, he will be 54 next January, so that was 50 yrs ago 😆 🤣 😂 💕🙏🌸💕

I climbed out a second story window and landed on the roof of the portico then dropped to the ground and took off from my abusive father and never looked back! I just turned 17 at the time. I’m 81 years old now…..no regrets!

I ran away when I was about 12 years old . It was hot summer time and my dad had a farm and my mom made a big garden . This was 1967 and I felt like all I did was work so I ran away . I got about 1/4 mile up the dirt road and my mom slid in behind me with a belt whipped me put me in the car and I got home I had to go pick green beans and tomato’s are get some more belt .

I had 6 children and I don't remember this ever happening. First off, back in the day you could still discipline your children and they knew better than to act out like this. I would never have tolerated this kind of behavior. He is a child, where does he think he is going? Children can't be out alone in our society today. Somebody would drive by and snitch that kid right off that sidewalk. It's a dangerous world we live in today.

old memories, when I was 4, I ran away from home because my young mom wouldn't change my name to Roy Rogers, the old singing cowboy.🥰

A spanking to the butt never hurt a kid. It makes them better citizens when grown.

I left home I iat age 11 because my Father was always beating mom, my brother and I. 🙏🏼 I’m z72 now, I forgave the old fart but will NEVER forget the abuse I found a baby sitting job ( why would anyone let an a11 year old baby sit for2 babies under 4.). 💕💕👍🏼But They hired me and I lived with them until I turned 18

My daughter did this packed her suitcase got her jar of money and called her uncle in Tennessee he was going to college to pick her up from the airport. Walked out the house with a tee shirt on a diaper and gym shoes. She walked to the end of the driveway turned around came back said her legs were tired💕🥰🥰

My daughter didn't actually run away, she just informed me that she was going back to the hospital to get a new mother🤣

My son left home with great ceremony. Packed all his favorite toys, put his shoes and coat on. Turned and said I'm going now. I said I will always be here for you. lots love. With that slam went the door as he left, it was pouring with rain. The it really began to pour down. A little knock on the door, my things are wet, I will leave another day. He was 6. Lived at home another 14 years.

My daughter was 5 and angry at me for some reason. She packed her little pink suitcase and walked out the door. I said, "Don't ever forget I love you with all my heart. Please be careful." I watched as she climbed the big banyan tree in the front yard. In a while, a moving van moved a new family in next door. I watched her hurriedly get out of that tree and go next door. She told me, when she came home, "Mommy, I just met my new best friend. I saw her swinging her dolly. She's moving next door. Mommy, she is going to be my best friend for life." And she was, until she sadly and suddenly died when she was 59, May 4 2022. 🙏 Just 3 weeks after a trip from her Louisiana home to Florida, to spend a week with her best friend for their 40th class reunion. "Mom, that was the best time ever in my life." Her friend is beyond heartbroken, as am I and the rest of our family, including her ever loving husband. 💔 🙏

I ran away all the time. I never left the yard lol💕

My son did that when he was four. Can’t remember why. So as he starts packing his bags I told him that I paid for his toys so he could not take them. I drove him to a dark place and told him to get out with no intention of leaving my precious baby. He started crying and my heart broke. So we talked about it and he never tried it again.

When I was two years old, I loved the bath, and one night when my parents told me I had to get out of the bath to go to bed. I didn’t want to and they insisted. So I told them I am going to get out of this bath and I’m leaving. They asked me where I was gonna go and I told him I’m going to India. My dad said to me well you better hurry up because the train leaves pretty soon will help you get packed as I was getting out of the bath and dried. I looked at them and I said “I’m gonna give you a second chance.” I do I didn’t wanna go, but I had to save face.

there's a saying "you eat what I give you or you don't eat...another one is if you dont work, you don't eat. I don't mean slave drive, but kids from 3 and on can do some type of work.

I remember packing my stuff, but came up not knowing how I was supposed to pack a couple of things so went to my mom and asked her "How am I supposed to pack my bed and dresser?" She asked me why I was leaving and where are you going? I explained I was leaving because I was tired of my sister, who was older and shared room with me, and my two younger brothers. I was going next door to my grandparents. I had to go through the woods, across the cow pasture, across a little bridge built for us by grandpa, up a hill and finally their lawn. Mom asked what my siblings had done. I talked to her and just by talking we figured out how I could handle needing my alone time. All 4 of us had a special tree that was ours and no one else's. I would climb my tree and just sit in it. Sometimes I would just start counting, other times I would take a book and read. I'm almost 67 and still need time alone.

😆👍Call his bluff , good parenting...he'll come back with a new Attitude 🙏

Good job! You stuck to what said no candy!!! And I’m sure he came back and ate breakfast without the candy 👍🏼

I had my wagon, and my mom made me lunch so I wouldn't get hungry while running away.

When I was 5 I ran away for aqa something, can't remember for what. I didn't know my mother was watching the whole time. I got as far as the backyard and sat on the outside entrance to the basement. I had my little suitcase. It was not toys or anything except every pair of panties I owned. Mom always taught me to always put on clean underwear everyday. So that's all I packed. I got bored sitting there and went back into the house. Mom said how was your trip. I gave in and gave her a big hug !!!

I did the same thing and it was a lot of snow outside. I packed a little bag with mine and my 3yr old brother stuff n r piggy bank, I was 9. All because our father wouldn't let us ride with him to take momma to work. we I walked a block n a half before it got cold cold.. hurried up and got back home just before our dad did...🤗😂 I'm 61 and it still makes me laugh...🙏🏾🙏🏾💕

My sister in law was visiting once and her kids asked for cake from night before for bf- I flat out said no and my in-laws were offended. They are from Pakistan and think whatever a kid says go. I stood my ground and said no. I would have to let MY three boys eat that as well, and that’s not happening. They still insisted. I got up and said no one is eating cake until mid afternoon. One more word and I throw it away. It caused a huge fight between my hubby and o and I still to this day, 25 yrs later, still feel the exact same way. Sugar loading on breakfast time shoots your glucose levels sky high and it’s harmful. But once in a while a little peice of candy to soften the blow of no can also be done. I would have offered everyone one bite maybe. Shrug.

Oh I remember doing that too. I was about 4 years old. I packed my Chatty Cathy suitcase and left unapologetically. The entire neighborhood was like a relay from house to house reporting back to my mother where I was. I went around the block. Then I had to go home and eat my lunch.

Love those boots, cute as hell, clompin around

Why you screaming in the neighborhood about wiping his butt..? I feel sorry for him..so disrespectful..if you really loved him you wouldn’t disrespect him like that. You’re taking it personally..take parenting classes before you screw him up. All little kids do this at some point..do better!

Very sad. 😲 I never kept candy in the house when my kids were growing up. They always had fruit available. 😆 Kids need far more limits than what I see in families around me today. 🤔 Too many kids actually believe they can make their own rules!!! This insanity. 😆

I remember ehen my oldest son told me & his dad he was hoing to run away. I told him don't run walk, you might fall and break your arm or leg, then I got to take you to the hospital, plus take care of you. He was 5 yrs old, he looked at me like I was crazy. He's 56 now & he still brings it up sometimes. 🤣🤣🤣

Yes, mine call himself running away at 6, he’s now 47, back home, and I wish he’d run away

Hasn't every kid "run away" once

My youngest ran away, on his return 15 minutes later he wrote this note; "Sorry I have been bad, but I have decided to stay here "

My Daughter packed a small suitcase and hid under the dining room table..She was 5 yrs old.. Susan sat there for a hour..and came out crying " "You don't love me,you didn't even know I ran away.." That was 50 yrs ago..

It’s bound to happen to every parent. I was 7 when I packed a suitcase with a doll made of shells and a pair of underwear. It didn’t take 😩🤣. Got 20 feet from the door and was wrangled right back in. My son (at 5) didn’t want me to be his mom anymore. I drove him around the corner and told him to get out to find one of the houses that will take him in. Of course I never left and was friends with all of the houses. Needless to say he refused to get out and we went home without incident 😁. He’s 25 now and brilliant 🥰

Spoiled child👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼 ?

I was 4 I ran away down the block to my Godmother’s house lol my mom wouldn’t buy me ice cream lol

You should have offered him a ride and asked him where he wants to be dropped off at.

He will be back

I don’t like that he I to young to be walking in the street.

I was going to run away from home when I was about 5 because my little sister put her feet on me. I packed a bag and was ready to leave but my Dad said well Lassie is about to come on TV do you want to stay and watch that then you can leave when it’s over? I loved Lassie so I said yes. Then I pretended to fall asleep so Dad carried me into bed. When they opened my suitcase it had only underwear and stuffed animals in it.

Mine packed her Barbie bag with her tooth brush, panties and her Barbie Doll. Catch ~ when she finished packing her Dad said, I’ll miss you 🥰 She stared at him … well? You don’t expect me to walk!!!

My daughter ran away to our front yard ON ICELAND! What did she pack? Her Barbie and a nightgown.🌸 I love when the mom yelled, “Good luck finding someone else to wipe your butt.8 still love you”. A cross between Roseann and June Cleaver..the modern mom!

I did that too, around age five, but didn't pack a bag. one of the teens in the neighborhood asked where I was going. I was crying and told him I was going to Hurlbert Alaska (Hurlburt was the name of a family up the street). I got to the corner and remembered I wasn't allowed to cross the street so I turned around and walked home. Mom looked like she had been crying but her voice sounded more like she was laughing her ass off.

My son was 5 years old and he decided he wanted to leave a loving home. I said ok, here is your backpack. He filled it with his favorite toys and a pair of underwear. I hugged him and told him I love him and he could come for a visit anytime. I watched him walk down the sidewalk. Then he stopped and came running home. All forgiven! 😆

My 5 year nephew was going to runaway one night. He had his toys in in a sack and he was heading out. He opened the door realized it was dark outside and he shut the door and he said "I will wait till tomorrow". He never left until he went to college.

🥰

His grandparents probably live right around the corner and then mom I have to go get him later

He should be wiping his own, but at this stage, not his mother.

😆

That brings back memories when my daughter. Was going to run away from home, she got her pink Hot Wheels and was fixing to leave the yard when I asked her if she wanted something to eat, she said she would take some sandwiches with her. She also had some clothes. In a bag sitting in front of her, and she was going to put the sandwiches . With that bag of clothes. well, by the time I got to make the sandwiches, it was light like gonna be dark within a couple of hours. An she said she was gonna go to her Nana's house going. West, but she kept wanting to go east, and I said, you won't find nothing there, Nana, don't live there. Okay, where'd she live? I said that way and she goes okay and a few moments later, I said, well, are you hungry? I guess I can just leave tomorrow. I guess you can. She said, I'll do it in the morning. I said, yeah With that she came in decided she was too tired to talk about it. So she went to bed and needless to say, she never ran off at that time.💕💕

lol I think this is funny…My daughter tried this once, I told her to make sure to take a quarter in case she needed to make a phone call…She walked down the block realized she didn’t have any food or anything to drink.. That was the last time she pulled that stunt..

This is so funny😂

spoiler he has a suitcase for a Tootsie rolls Tootsie pops mnms .. milky ways etc

I we spanked our kids for very serious. This video would not be one of them! This is just a kid playing out his day.

Don't let the door hit you in the but

“Write! Oh wait you can’t “🤣

😆😆😆😆😆🙏

Why let him have that option

I think Mom did the right thing in letting her son try to runaway. She reinforced her love and watched him as he walks down the driveway and in front of the house. I should would appreciate knowing how far that little boy got before going back home. We as parents have to stick with the rules. She did and he didn't like the rules so he wanted to find a new home. I'm pretty sure he did not get far. His belly would be screaming for food pretty soon. 💕

😆

I hope he didn't make it to the road. someone would scoop that lil cutie.🙏

bahaha
