I never used TIME OUTS, but my child did vanish on me, for about 10-15 minutes. To make it even more frightening, it was almost nap time (he had his own internal clock (noon-4:00 nap, 7:00 - 7:00 bedtime) SO YES, I protected him🙏💕

My Mom just WHIPPED MY ASS, WITH A SWITCH, OR A BELT! It worked really really well, back in the 1960s, & 1970s! That's why the Schools 🏫 are a joke these Days! The Kids are in CHARGE! The kids run the Classrooms, & their so called parents run the Teachers, Principals, Superintendent, & Board Members! No wonder so many young kids are Failing, in School.

Some people love time- out and in my opinion, I am not a big fan, but it is better than nothing. Some people don't discipline their kids at all and at least she does something about tantrums. I guess that this works for them.

Hmm, I teach my toddler skills when he is calm and involve him in my chores. He helps me out away dishes by taking them out of the dishwasher and bringing them to me, gets a cloth to wipe the table all on his own, gets his toy vacuum when I vacuum, gets his own size sweep when I sweep, and helps me pull weeds and water plans - when he is calm and it is play time and has never had a time out. Only 19 months and imitates what I do. Too bad this mom didn’t get her own spoon to throw in the trash (show him) and then say “show me what to do?” Kids love being seen and showing what they can do all by themselves!

Ok. Let's see you carry an 18-hour-old around an amusement park for at least 3-4 hrs. and it's 90°. I think you would choose the leash or a stroller pretty quickly or would be handing them over to mom to deal with.
