Columbus, Ohio - Columbus police released body camera footage and two 911 calls in fatal shooting of16-year-old Ma'Khia Bryant that happened on Tuesday, April 20, 2021. Police say they were called to the scene around 4:30 p.m. on a report of someone attempting to stab others at a home. Notice how the female officer puts her foot partly in the doorway. This is a tactic that is used without a warrant. If the person trys to shut the door the cop can say they were assaulted by the door an arrest you. Then enter ur home as they will. A good attorney an this women could sue the department. You always have every right to deny them entry without a search warrant. This was wrongful detainment an violation of rights under color of law.

Because this is a reported DV incident the cops have more leeeway. The foot in the door isn’t an assault tactic she is clearly dodgy and would’ve shut the door in their face if given the chance. A warrant isn’t needed in a DV situation it’s called extingent circumstances.
Why do folks always say they know their rights when they are so uninformed. Just let them do their job. And, be over with it.

If you see closely the officer put his foot on the door way because in case she closes the door it'll hit the officers foot and for them to be more probable cause to enter without a warrant.

The husband was fine and in fact he told his office manager “there would be a DV if he went home” he WAS home and was just fine. The “wife is obviously crazy and has taught her daughter to be the exact same way resulting in all 3 of them being arrested. Honestly was a waste of police time and resources. Everybody is concerned about the officers do not have a right to enter without a warrant, but if they chose to take her word and walk away. You same people would be crying foul if their was indeed a man being tortured in that room, and the cops just took her word and walked away. The police are lazy, if they would have done their job on that day, this poor guy would still be alive. The police at minimal should have called out to the male caller who actually placed the call, because she did confirm that he was in the home. The police did have the authority to enter the home because the husband gave them the right to do so when he placed the call. Under the good faith doctrine the police are covered
