18 unless they're going to school. we have a deal with our kids, rent, food, utilities are free at mom and dad's as long you're going to school and pulling a B average. we don't make car payments, any kind of loan payments, insurance, gas, credit cards are still on them but they have a home and food.

I planned on supporting them thru life so I left it up to them if they chose to leave or stay and they are always welcomed back and I pay my bills at home

My children got their 1s jobs at 15. I asked them to contribute to the house, even if it was 10 dollars a pay or 25 dollars a month. Nobody lives free. I felt like they needed to leave that principle early.
