I don't see where she's doing anything she shouldn't be doing. She's shucking the corn, putting the husks in the trash can, and putting the ears of corn together she intends to buy. What's the problem? 🤔
She's taking the husky off so that it isn't included in the weight which would otherwise increase the cost.
Corn is usually sold by the ear not by the pound. She is just “shucking” it there and keeping the mess out of her kitchen. Of all the things that happen at Walmart this is nothing.
Up north this isnt done but in the south it is so mind your business

It cooks best in the microwave with the husk on for 2 minutes a ear and let rest for 3 minutes

This is great for me. I can remove the husks in the store, leave the clean up behind in their trash can and just rinse, remove any remaining silks, and cook. I put mine directly into a produce bag though and don't lay it down on anything. For those of you so against it, just don't do it.
