What am I missing? What did she do wrong?
Corn is usually sold by the ear not by the pound. She is just “shucking” it there and keeping the mess out of her kitchen. Of all the things that happen at Walmart this is nothing.
It’s considered a nice thing to do for shoppers who can check the health of each stock of corn….dah?
shucking corn at store has been practiced for a long time that's why trash barrel is there. It allows you to make sure worms and Beatles aren't in it.
I’ll ask a 3rd time: Is fresh sold by weight?
She's taking the husky off so that it isn't included in the weight which would otherwise increase the cost.
people do this at most groceries stores
Most do it because they don’t want that weight. Why pay for the weight of the husk when you’re not going to eat it?
It cooks best in the microwave with the husk on for 2 minutes a ear and let rest for 3 minutes
You do that at home lady !!!
why pay for the husk. It's by the pound right
Handling food for other ppl to buy. She could have feces on her hands. The silk and husk prevent human germs from getting inside. DONT HANDLE FOOD THAT OTHER PPL ARE BUYING.
I see everybody doing this now, that way if there’s any bugs inside the husk, you’re not bringing them into your home
A man did tha
That’s why there’s a garbage can there because people do it. There’s nothing wrong with it again that’s why there’s a garbage can there.
Shucking, before buying makes sure it’s not got bugs inside there. That’s what the trash can is for, sitting conveniently located. Around here the corn is sold each piece, not by the pound. Personally, I pay a little extra, get pre- shucked & wrapped.
nothing wrong.corn is not sold by weight. I saw a lady snapping bottoms off asparagus. that's wrong!
It’s an option Walmart offers buyers .. husk it there or take it home to husk it . Been doing it for years
Then why does Walmart have a garbage can next to the corn?
There's a waste basket there for a reason!
Where Are The Workers ? This is So Wrong
I do that all the time nobody ever told me I couldn’t do that that’s why the big plastic barrels are always in every supermarket
I don't see where she's doing anything she shouldn't be doing. She's shucking the corn, putting the husks in the trash can, and putting the ears of corn together she intends to buy. What's the problem? 🤔
It's a sly way to save on the per pound prices! However, I like to use all of that "waste" to beautifully steam the corn! (Especially, SWEET CORN!!) Emerge the entire ears in salted water and soak for at least 30 minutes. Then, shake off the excess water. Next, either wrap in foil or bake as is. Do not remove the husk until its done cooking)
okay you never seen anybody shuck corn cuz she's wanting to see what it looks like inside before she buys it
Of course ! Why do you think the trash barrel is there ?
Lots of stores put bins out so you can husk the corn! I consider that a great courtesy!
It’s what you are supposed to do , that’s why they put a trash can near the corn, duh.
Thats why they have the trash buns by the corn display. whats wrong with that? Its good customer service! duh!
What a waste! I like mine cooked in the husk. They have so much more flavor that way.🥰
weight ing lighter?
I take the husks off at the store because I've gotten home with rotten corn before. Leave the woman alone!🌸🌸🌸
As long as she is putting the leaves in the trash. What's the problem?
I do that, that’s why the trash can is there!
You’re also not paying for the weight of the husk
That's why the garbage bin is right there
This woman is delusional!!!
Whoever filmed this needs to find themselves a hobby 👍🏼
On this episode of "Karens with camers."
So what…that’s what the trash can is for!!!
I work at Walmart and that garbage can is there so customers can do that. She’s not doing anything wrong or unusual!
I've seen people do this. I asked a lady why. Her reply, no mess at home and I don't pay for what I can't eat. DIFFERENT STROKES FOR DIFFERENT FOLKS. I'm waiting for the potato peelers🙏smile😆
why do you think there is a trash can there?
when that lady shook the corn she's putting it back down instead of putting it in her basket
I use the corn silks for a soothing tea and the husks to make tamales in.
That's completely normal.
They usually have a garbage bin next to the corn so I have seen people do this. As long as they’re going to buy it, I see nothing wrong with it.
That's what the garbage can is for
the person you are arguing with is probably sitting on a commode!
The trash can is there for that reason- so oeople can shuck the ears of corn at the store. You pay by the ear, not by the pound. We do this in many Massachusetts grocery stores.
wow!!
hence the garage can right there to throw away the green part.
She's not going have mess To clean up at home
Wow, such a stupid comment. There is nothing wrong with her doing that. Obviously is not uncommon since they have a trash can next to the stand.
she's showing a nasty, sense of self entitlement she should be asked to leave
I worked at Walmart for 12 years that's,the least weird thing done at Walmart.LOL 🥰🥰🥰🥰
that's why the large trash can is there, so customers can take the husks off
so what racists.
The price includes the weight of the shook
They do this all the time. Still charged for the corn at register
There's a garbage can there to put the husk in. NP
Eeww😲
That's what the trash can is for!!
I see a lot of people doing this. you pay by the pound so I don't see a problem with it. At least she but the husk in the trash can
Leaving her mess fur someone weeks to deal with. What if she changes her mind on the purchase or fight her money? You should do that at home. if you don't want the mess shuck'em outside.
People do that all the time. And leave a mess to clean up
