robots are coming for blue collar jobs.
not mine...change a squirrel cage on a furnace 馃槅
Oh they are just not yet. It will take a bit longer but they will get there. That鈥檚 the goal. Take all human work away so it will be a glorious nobody work society. lol I see that working out well.
Don't listen to him. I slung a hammer for 55 years. Building houses for people and social security doesn't seem to think. I need more than $1400 a month to live on. Go figure.
If you have any desire for art become a welder, make bank and learn a talent that has huge art potential. Just in my fav car making
Started welding in 1979 then 1986 became a machinist ran old manual machines and cnc
I was a CNC machinist and the Chinese took my job before AI had a chance 馃槀馃槀馃槀 thanks Bill (NAFTA)
Well, those kids that were coding actually created AI they created their own demise
AI won't take over skilled jobs.perhap production factory jobs but specialized service jobs will be around a while. count on it
They killed it with this invention Is a Hilty tool?
they already did the welders look at the other industry everything's automatically welded plumbers know they can't do that groupers very unlikely certain jobs that are necessary are the ones that go for when I was younger they wanted everybody to be a computer program for you to do it that way AI is going to take over everything you'll order a pizza a car I'll pull up a robot I'll bring it to your door stop driving car just the beginning. should get rid of AI before it takes over. I want to go to the drugstore I have to use AI on a screen at the counter before I get any service a purse is still grabs a bag of hands it to you but that won't last long they'll have a system as a bag just comes to you. more jobs lost
every job commented on here, they can't do this or that, I've been around cnc since seventies & if they can remove humans & save money, they will, & now robots can be built & programmed to do 90% ? human labor, that's a destructive amount.
I know someone that is a coder and has been for yrs. Grad of IU and made 6 figures. But lost his job and can't find one even though he will relocate. The replacement has replacement has already started
Robots can't take critical decisions and stop running their program with 404 ERROR. If many jobs are lost then what about potential customers to buy their stuff ? Andrew Yang was right about automatisation dividends going as a UBI (universal basic income) just to survive. SSI should use AI to calculate a person income from the area he lives and inflation rate instead of cost cutting because no jobs left for seniors and many people with old skills馃
Shii I been swinging that T1000 for 10 years!! Tell me what company spends money on that exo attachment 馃 I鈥檒l wait!! I wish 馃檹馃徏馃槅
Yea the robots are though
I hope so!!! why work when the government just takes it!!!
Not really worried about robots. They lack hand and finger dexterity. There is no technology yet that comes close to the human hand.
well obviously the builder of these robots like any other thing on this planet always wants more so once the blue collar jobs have been taken an mastered the government jobs will be next cuz they pay higher or better yet it will learn how to reprogram them self, ah an just think the human race will no longer exist be couse long ago some Dumas in mom's basement was to lazy an ignorant to do something for h his / her self an doomed us all
exactly ai can't do plumbing, or electrical work.
the dreaded skyhook
They are definitely coming for the plumber and the welder.
Nothing is fully secure when it comes to A.I.
no but.... robots are.
robots are coming for the welders and plumbers lol
Exactly. Even if many more enter the trades, we are going to be extremely short of trained people within 5 years
Why doesn鈥檛 the author talk about the chances of losing you sight and major lung issues from welding? Or describe some of the horrible working for plumbers. 60 years old crawling under houses can鈥檛 be fun!!! I鈥檓 not criticizing these professions. Just stating facts!!!
ai is already in welding professions as well as plumbing and pretty much every "blue collar" job. Mike Rowe used to be real good at talking about work, but it seems he's been left behind.
What exactly is coding?
Robots and AI are coming for all jobs from surgery to plumbing.
Started welding in 1979 then 1985 became a machinist ran old manual machines and cnc
oh ai is coming fo the welders, alright. ai and his robot buddies.
ppl are meant to work what will we do? doing nothing? it's serious
AI is coming for everything
UBI is likely going to be a popular thing in the not so distant future. There are many pilot programs happening but haven鈥檛 heard anything recent. Im thinking with all of the growth in automation and now AI, it鈥檚 likely to become more front and center.
All sorts of robot welders
machines that run off of AI will take other jobs...
AI is the software that makes the robots weld and it is very good at it.
No it鈥檚 coming for trades as well. Machines run by AI will easily replace them. Houses will be built in a factory and just assembled then connected on site in sections. Thats why i do hardware not software. 馃憤馃徏馃ぃ
True
And all office personnel from HR to data processing.
It鈥檚 cause the coders learned to do it so well
ya all those human welders etc. on vehicle production lines prove this! 馃
But it is tho. Us too
