Oh they are just not yet. It will take a bit longer but they will get there. That鈥檚 the goal. Take all human work away so it will be a glorious nobody work society. lol I see that working out well.

Don't listen to him. I slung a hammer for 55 years. Building houses for people and social security doesn't seem to think. I need more than $1400 a month to live on. Go figure.

they already did the welders look at the other industry everything's automatically welded plumbers know they can't do that groupers very unlikely certain jobs that are necessary are the ones that go for when I was younger they wanted everybody to be a computer program for you to do it that way AI is going to take over everything you'll order a pizza a car I'll pull up a robot I'll bring it to your door stop driving car just the beginning. should get rid of AI before it takes over. I want to go to the drugstore I have to use AI on a screen at the counter before I get any service a purse is still grabs a bag of hands it to you but that won't last long they'll have a system as a bag just comes to you. more jobs lost

every job commented on here, they can't do this or that, I've been around cnc since seventies & if they can remove humans & save money, they will, & now robots can be built & programmed to do 90% ? human labor, that's a destructive amount.

I know someone that is a coder and has been for yrs. Grad of IU and made 6 figures. But lost his job and can't find one even though he will relocate. The replacement has replacement has already started

Robots can't take critical decisions and stop running their program with 404 ERROR. If many jobs are lost then what about potential customers to buy their stuff ? Andrew Yang was right about automatisation dividends going as a UBI (universal basic income) just to survive. SSI should use AI to calculate a person income from the area he lives and inflation rate instead of cost cutting because no jobs left for seniors and many people with old skills馃

Not really worried about robots. They lack hand and finger dexterity. There is no technology yet that comes close to the human hand.

avator
Heath Blodgette
Mineola, TX 路 4 days ago

well obviously the builder of these robots like any other thing on this planet always wants more so once the blue collar jobs have been taken an mastered the government jobs will be next cuz they pay higher or better yet it will learn how to reprogram them self, ah an just think the human race will no longer exist be couse long ago some Dumas in mom's basement was to lazy an ignorant to do something for h his / her self an doomed us all

Why doesn鈥檛 the author talk about the chances of losing you sight and major lung issues from welding? Or describe some of the horrible working for plumbers. 60 years old crawling under houses can鈥檛 be fun!!! I鈥檓 not criticizing these professions. Just stating facts!!!

avator

ai is already in welding professions as well as plumbing and pretty much every "blue collar" job. Mike Rowe used to be real good at talking about work, but it seems he's been left behind.

UBI is likely going to be a popular thing in the not so distant future. There are many pilot programs happening but haven鈥檛 heard anything recent. Im thinking with all of the growth in automation and now AI, it鈥檚 likely to become more front and center.

No it鈥檚 coming for trades as well. Machines run by AI will easily replace them. Houses will be built in a factory and just assembled then connected on site in sections. Thats why i do hardware not software. 馃憤馃徏馃ぃ
