45 years workin' on cars. Cardboard creeper, or a small roll of carpet, was the way to go! Fancy creepers with wheels raise you up higher and limit your ability to apply torque. Twist down on a big bolt, wheeled creeper rolls right out from under you! I liked carpet best because it took up less space when rolled up than a big piece of cardboard. Kept all my tools on the carpet after I used them, pulled out carpet, picked up tools and put them away, got paid ocalledll a tow truck! I always cut as much slack as I could, did stuff for folks who couldn't afford it, but needed it. I've been in a bad spot and needed help. If someone really needed help, I tried to help.

it's called the creeper of death. the name came from accidentally hitting the button while under the car still. :-(

I have pushed a car over a pot hole to drop a transfer. Then get a rebuild under the rig. Did I say it was at the corner of Dunn Rd. and Florrisant Rd. back in 74 or 75, it was cold. The car was a 1962 Chevy Impala. The trany was a 2 speed slip slide. The engine had been balanced and blue printed. It finally died out off 367 and north of Lindbergh . The guy called me who had done the engine work. I gave it back.
