you should protect her from hitting her head on anything that can hurt her when this happens... don't just let her fall over and hurt herself even worse. you're really really sore whenever you wake up from a seizure cuz your whole body tenses up when your muscles go crazy on you and voluntarily. 🥺🥺🥺

the dog had a seizure. remember these tips. if your dog or cat is having a seizure put soft pillows and blankets around it. make sure to turn off any TVs or anything that can make sound that's loud. make the room quiet. also make it dark so the dog's eyes can adjust to the light.

It looks to me like the puppy had a seizure. We adopted a black female German Shepherd Dog a couple years ago. Sweetest dog I’ve ever had. Went to take her and my other GSD out for a walk. She would always stand on her hind legs excited to go outside. This day she stood a moment and then collapsed, fell to the floor and convulsed. I did CPR on her but couldn’t bring her back. Our Veterinarian said it has to be a massive cardiac event and rarely do dogs respond to CPR. You just never know…What we do know is she was happy till her last moment with us. Hopeful this puppy recovered. ❤️❤️❤️

My son’s first husky was pregnant and she ran in the garage stopped in front of my son and screamed, tilted her head back until her nose was touching her back and fell over. I was at work and he called me screaming. I left and was telling him how to do CPR on her but I was 45 minutes away. The vet was closed and had no emergency place to take her. I got there but was too late to save her or get the pups out. She had a massive aortic aneurysm that ballooned out then ruptured in seconds. This made my heart hurt watching it. 😢

That is a seizure. Labs are prone to having them. The dog was enjoying the petting and unfortunately started seizing. The guy didn't do anything wrong. If your dog does this, stay back and leave them alone. Their brain needs to reboot itself and then they're fine. Sometimes they lose control over their bowels or urine. Wait a couple hours before you bathe them to make sure the seizure doesn't come in twos or threes. It's scary and sad, but the dogs don't seem to suffer because of it. My yellow lab did this occasionally and he lived to be 16.
