The point is to solidify the grease quickly. They are cleaning out the old grease. Cold ice rapidly cools the hot grease, causing it to: • Thicken • Clump together • Become easier to scoop out and throw away Some people do this to avoid pouring hot grease down the drain (which can clog pipes).
And people are constantly saying “I don’t eat everybody cooking when they go to a cookout or event. But eat from these restaurants with no problem. Look at that filthy kitchen.
What in the I’ve learned my lesson from this and any POPEYES because they are ALL NASTY like this! Everytime I eat it my stomach hurts and I feel like I’ve gotten some salmonella exposure is going on here?

My daughter worked at Popeyes in the 90’s and she told us NEVER TO EAT FROM THERE ZND I HAVENT. She has some horror stories about this place.

An old friend of mine worked at churches chicken, she used to say some chicken would have mold, slime, & stink but they were still required to dip it & fry it! NEVER ATE CHURCHES AGAIN, now they're almost extinct.

Every Popeye's in the Denver metro area is filthy like that...the oil is so old and rancid that surrounding neighborhoods have to endure their stench. The chicken is 90% breading saturated in that rancid oil. The undocumentos working behind the counters wear makeup like chulo bangers, are rude and refuse to speak English. I've heard that their NOLA stores serve good food, why don't they provide quality control in Denver?
