opposums do not carry rabies. they can't get rabies. Google it or better yet, do research. this is how misinformation is spread.

Just so everyone's on the same page, here in the USA we have Opposums. Over in Asia or Australia they have a totally different animal called possums. 🤔

North America’s only marsupial. They don’t get rabies and they eat 5 thousand ticks a year. They also eat spoiled fruits and vegetables that are thrown out in the trash. I leave food out for them.

What was the purpose of chasing the Possum? You know they are VERY beneficial to farm life. Possums eats mice and slugs and rats. Yes they can eat eggs and baby chicks sometimes. But the things they eat that is beneficial outweighs the small amount of harm they can do.
Snipe hunting is at lease 75 yrs old way of becoming a young hunter .By over coming fears of hunting alone & all the things that go bump in the night!! Girls do it to teaches self confidence in unknown circumstances. Not mean just a way to learn self reliance.

my grandpa did the same to me and it was a muskrat that mfr turned around and chased my he kept attacking me and I kept kicking him off my legs he kept coming back so he went to lunge at me again I picked up my leg he was under my foot so I stomped and he lived for another 30 mins

Dad wasn't encouraging him to harm the animal, and obviously knew that opossum are generally docile and harmless, they are a sign of a healthy ecosystem and good to have around. 👍💕
