❤️ Thank you officer for listening to what she was saying about why he was reacting that way, and then offering the young man a ride and look around your police car. Not forcing physical contact on him and speaking to him in a calm, even voice and changing his thought process by suggesting a fun and simple activity, is EXACTLY what you should do and took the stress and anxiety from 85% down to about 2%, in 5 seconds flat! It is obvious which officers have experience, lots of training and the right temperament to do their jobs. 👍

I worked with mentally disabled people and I had to get the police involved on several occasions. I only had one or two good interactions with police when having to deal with each unique situation. I praise this officer because very few police are like that.

Yes some autistic children act like this there are different levels of autism. I heard of a parent who had a 25 year old autistic son they were in a department stores the young man threw a tantrum and his father had to arm lock his body and pull him from the store. Robert Kennedy with his wild theories of the origins of autism is the reason the world has become aware of the number of autistic people in America The past year their gas been an explosion of information about them.
