If he wanted to steal the money, he wouldn't have returned it to the owner, he would've kept it all.

Who the hell returns $4.000 doollars and keeps two out of six? Moronic. If you return it, you return it in its entirety, not give 4 instead of six. All lying on the part of the owner. Pathetic greedy selfish owner of the wallet.

No one would've only taken $2k out of $6k & just put the wallet back down for that guy to find later😂😂 And he damn sure wouldn't drive 20 minutes each way to return the rest. If he was like that, he would've taken it all. The way I see it is the owner was originally out EVERYTHING, so I think I'd be VERY grateful for the $4k plus the wallet & its contents. It's a bitch to get a new ID & stuff. But to call the cops (& when that doesn't work) & then try to sue him civilly!?!? That's CRAZY work...& unappreciative behavior at its finest🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️

I think the guy who filed the lawsuit should’ve been punished. Even if Ethan did take the money, the fact that he gave most of it back when in reality, if you lose your wallet, you’re lucky that somebody even brings it back to you, let alone still having any money.

The judge did the right thing. The questions I would have is, how does one fit $6000.00 cash in a small folding wallet in $100 00 dollar bills. It's impossible to do with a wallet that small? And, what would anyone be doing carrying around that kind of money in cash?

avator
Truck Frump
Berea, OH · 2 months ago

He would have kept or returned it. No inbetween. He deserved a reward and instead got sued. Owner is despicable. Ethan is someone we should all be like . Honestly, I’m not 100% sure what I would do. I might try keeping it, but guilt would make me return it pretty soon.

Behavior like that will just ensure that he never does that again and is counter productive. If someone is going to to take the money they dam sure are not going to return it with less cash in it than what was in it when he found it. Whoever lost the wallet is just trying to get money he did not have and destroy a kids future because of their counter productive bs and obvious mental illness issues. People like that guy is why people no longer care about others and simply do not want to get involved because of people like him amd their malicious prosecution of people that tried to do the right thing and help the loser out and got harmed because of it and I would have definitely filed a lawsuit against him if he tried that crap on my kid for doing the right thing but then thats par for the course in the big crapper area.

It seems to me like the owner of the wallet was trying to get greedy . That young man had found the wallet should’ve mailed it back anonymously. I lost my wallet, one time in another state and someone found it and returned it to me through the mail anonymously. That’s the best thing you can do if you find a wallet, money or no money in it return it anonymously.
