Grunion run every full moon with the tide in the ocean, not the river. My family use to grunion hunt and have a bonfire on the beach, grilling grunion. It's really fun, stay all night on the beach after catching some to eat. Great time!

We lived in California and We heard the grunion are running. None of us ever saw them or knew anyone who found them or got any. We thought it was a joke people played on each other.

Oh yes a grunion run. It happens when tides are high. Most common from March through August. After about 10 days the next high tide washes the babies back into the ocean. Itβs a pretty natural event, fish shimmering under the moonlight it feels magical. π
Thus is FAKE where is the ocean we used to go grunion hunting all the time. The wave comes leaving the grunion to lay eggs then the next wave the grunion are back inn the ocean.
That doesnβt look like a beach to me. The only place thereβs water is in the middle where the items appear to be thrown or spilled onto the area.

it's called the grunion run it happens I think every year. but it happens at the beach and this doesn't look like it's near any shore of any beach . I've never seen grunion come in one one like this they usually spread out wide and against or close to the shore. but this the grunion run. it's not a sign that the Lord Jesus Christ is coming today so stay calm it's just the grunion run where a bunch of fish come to mate and lay their eggs in the sand where the eggs will remain until the tide comes to carry them off to sea.
