To all the people who think this force is unnecessary, please explain to me what else you would have liked the cops to have done?! People just love hating the police. Had they done less y’all would have complained that the police are lazy and didn’t do enough. So tired of people turning everything into a race or political issue. This man committed a crime and ran from the police. The police stopped him and took him to jail where he belongs. End of story. Why do people have to spin things to satisfy their dang narrative. As a retired detective I find that this technique was reckless. This perpetrator would've & could've been recaptured without being tackled into a brick wall. There is a NYC Sgt who was recently convicted of Manslaughter for throwing a cooler at a perpetrators who ran on him. The Sgt, just as this officer acted without thinking. The Sgt will now go to jail & lose everything. This officer may be lucky if this perpetrators is unscathed & nothing else comes from this officers reckless act.
