My Grandfather was a Landlord of 2 apt bldgs for over 50 years, and he ALWAYS respected his tenants and gave them an appropriate notice of him having to enter their homes. It's called RESPECT... which very few ppl understand these days.
He’s not in the wrong. End of the day it’s his home and if you ain’t paying the man rent he can enter.
I've been a Landlord for 55 years and he was not allowed to go in without prior permission. Glad it's on a video!
you better read your Lease good.. everywhere I worked in maintenance office staff or maintenance could enter your apartment at any time it was in the lease
they have to give 24-48hr notice they can't just walk in whenever they feel like unless it is an emergency of some kind.
Morgan and Morgan for the people 😆
No, it cannot be that he was evicted from the apartment otherwise he wouldn’t have been there, but apparently the landlord knew that he was in the wrong when he opened that door, knowing that he had a tenant there the lost state that if you want to remove a person from a property that is owned by a landlord you have to do the walk in the courthouse so I’m so glad this guy recorded everything so he could so him
The landlord is in the wrong n he knew it the minute he heard the tenant was recording him n the landlord shut that door. I'm glad the tenant stood up for himself. 👍
good going stand your ground my husband was in a coma we had 4 very young children moved to a townhouse in Haywayrd calif and the landlord used to comw in my home and watch me sleep SUPER CREEPY! it was before cellphones and cameras.YES PROTECT YOURSELF AND YES YOU CAN SUE HIM!
landlords are horrible in most states! I put baby powder down and he came in and made huge for prints and when I confronted them, oh that's not true and I'm like I have photos! You don't have any right to come in when I leave?! The next week, he took all of my garbage out and went through every bit of it then put it back in different garage bags! I moved immediately!
He’s not allowed to just walk in your house without notice. He could have gotten shot,I’m a landlord and would never go inside.
always when you walk in lock your doors most important thing to do either home or not home
As a landlord myself, if this landlord entered for no reason, then he is in the wrong. Tenants have a right to privacy while they are renting and in good standing with the rent. While there is no minimum amount of time between the notice and entry, most of us landlords give notice and then enter 24 hours later. Unless it's an emergency. Landlords can only enter for repairs, inspections, or showing the property with notice.
DAM I know that shit happens but here maintenance comes in and I’m in shower.
I had a landlord unannounced, come into my house while I was sleeping upstairs with my newborn son. my nephew who was like 12 at the time was downstairs on my couch comes up crying saying there is people in the house (multiple people). I run down stairs and that mf was showing the apartment because he was trying to sell the building. so it was hum and 3 random strangers. I was fuming. I told him.what he was doing was illegal, he argued that he owned the place and I hadn't paid rent in 2 months ( which was accurate) so i let it all out. I said " dam right I haven't paid rent in 2 months the drains, are so backed up you can't take a bath upstairs the kitchen and bathroom sink downstairs won't drain, it's now leaking into the bathroom cupboards, 2 burners on the stove arnt working, and all the rest of the problems then I pulled out the 2 months rent I had been holding in cash waiting for the necessary repairs his jaw dropped.
obviously he is required to provide the resident notice to enter.
its called breaking in if he hasnt got your approval call the police
MY LANDLORD DID THE SAMETHING & I WASNT DRESS JUST GETTING OUT THE SHOWER 😲😲
You should own the house now!! Law suit!! That’s why he left so fast!! Who’s pathetic now!!
He was looking for something to take 🤔
Thats why hos azs left amd closed the door he knew he was WRONG unlawful entry without prior notice
My dad had a large unit that he was renting out to people and he highly respect those people before enter into their home. He even called them in advance to set up arrangements so I can come and view the apartment to see if Everything is still the way it is or if it’s not what he needs to repair.
he come to your house looking for something that's just my opinion. 🤷🏾🤷🏾
Sue him!!!
wonder why the LL needed to pay a visit. 3 guesses
ppl be renting thinking it's there's
so if he waS nake on his the sofa and look that door expose your business when it open to the outside street. what did he want . it obvious .
I'm about to move and I have a top notch company securing my house now because of mess like this. I shoot to kill I'm not playing with any one that I pay rent to or anyone else coming in my house all willy nilly. 🤔
damn! 😲
land lord been doing this until u caught him coming in your apt. he never said why or reason for entering your apt. labd lord like that snooping around n your apt. is unlawful. call your lawyers to fi d out your rights and his rights.
😡😡😡 lucky you were there he was probably gonna go through your stuff or sniff your ladies drawers...
Another slum lord trying to use their privilege to take advantage of someone.🤔
Glad he was recording 😲 Landlord knows he wrong that's why he left.
Even if he wants me to stay( out of there ASSP) & give me my security as well
How about it being your house, your 44 yr old son lives with you. He says he wants to do a couple things in the house, he does not work. So I go stay at bfriends cause I don’t want the noise and dust. So still messing with it at 3 months. He starts doing things and having people there I don’t like and drugs. Call the cops and they told me to leave my house cause I’m the landlord and he’s the tenant. Even though I pay for everything. Mortgage, utilities very high bills, never turns a light off, cable, telephone, water, taxes, insurance. He doesn’t pay one dime. Now I have to go through an eviction to get my kid out of my house. I just retired, he’s screwing up my retirement big time. My life is unreal!
I used to live at a (supposedly) reputable development. One day, after running endless hours at work during inventory and audit I came home at wee hours, tired as the proverbial dog. After dinner/breakfast and a shower I said good day to my teenager living for a school bus, closed the door and went to get a few hours of sleep. Shortly after 8 AM something startled me up. At the foot of my bed, actually leaning against the bed with his back, a maintenance guy was accessing a A/C panel. There was no emergency and no prior notice of a scheduled maintenance. Of course I did not sleep anymore that day. The office manager "explained" to me that the maintenance employees routinely opened the apartments during regular working hours. I was shocked and declared my intention of installing a security chain. In answer, I was warned with eviction and a cost of replacing "damaged" door and whatever. In the next few days I found an R/A agent, and within months I was moving to my own house.
You got caught thinking he wasn't home and buy him recording it , you know , you guilty😆😆😆😆 shady ass landlord
You got a LAWSUIT!!
My dad had 4 unit apartments. Always let the tenant know what he was doing and even doing repairs. Thats 24 apartments. Until he passed away. I sold those apartments. I dont want to be held responsible for anything. I work and raise my family. The tenants used to come to me saying my dad was the best landlord. Like on Christmas time he let them stay for free for a month.
Yes, these landlords actually think that you as a tenant don’t have rights nor should they respect you. You informed them to give notice before entering and/or some must be present before entering. They own the space that you’re renting, not you or what’s in the space you’re renting.
that's why I used to change the locks
wow
Read your contract...
see how fast he took off 😆😆😆
i was going thru this for years, put up cameras and it has gotten better.
what did he want
Beat down
he is an actual weirdo
