on my Navy ship we shot line over to a ship with type of shotgun using small line then tie it off to larger line or cable and pull back over from other ship. we used this line to transfer fuel, take on supplies, and sometimes exchange movies with other ship. other times it could be rigged up as a HIGHLINE SMALL seat where you could transfer an indivual passenger from ship to ship while at sea.
