all of chinese engineering skills combine to build it , launch it and almost ruin it. Not very bright, by putting all of that stress on the ships hull and frame because of dangling it up in air - with no support and real steel weight just stressing the seams / joints / welds / metal tensil strength. Lots of the commenters are clueless! This is how a barge is launched. The is no properllor, no engine, no wheelhouse, and they are water tight. The are usually several linked together and pushed by a boat specifically made to do that. All you have to do is go to any inland port, or cross over a navigable waterway and you'll stand a chance of seeing how they are handled.

That's actually a fairly common way to launch boats from videos I've seen. Not necessarily from dirt, but it would take a ridiculously huge crane to pick up large ships.
