THEN the carriers' CWIS kicks in. Multi-layered defense quickly flipped to offensive capabilities. USN/Retired

The US Navy carriers are obsolete against China when deployed in China's backyard. The Chinese will fire swarms of missiles to overwhelm the battle group's defenses. Regrettably, some will not learn this until 2 or 3 of the 13 Billion dollar steel coffins are on the ocean floor !
