I took my wife hunting with me, one time and we had a doe come up to us. Sniff, us really good and then slowly walk away. The deer was so close I could pet it. I'm thinking it was interested in my wife's perfume or somebody was feeding it as a pet. Yes, my wife was wearing perfume we had been pheasant and rabbit hunting.!
Maybe the deer was raised by a human or saved by a human when it was very young.

we have several deer on this 250 acre area and us 6 families do not allow hunters on our property.my property is the only one that h as late pear trees and acrons,and hickory nuts for them!! I had a mother birth her fawn beside my bedroom window, a nd it was a joy 2 see her baby try to walk his or her first steps in my front yard.Ev we n my dogs just sat and watched this baby !!
Had you been around salt lately? They love anything that smells of salt or sugar! Unless you are having a drought then they might seek to know where you are from by sniffing & tasting you, it's what they do to other deer to get an idea of where the water or food is.
some hunters don't feel that way you just rather wait till the deer become a large buck ? that's good hunting instincts! others would kill no matter how young that a big difference ? to me that's not hunting the waiting to get bigger buck !! the 2nd guy isn't a hunter he just has killed instinct would basically have fun killing a baby deer or even bear cub that's not a hunter that's just shows he likes to see things suffer like a killer ? big difference between both people 💯😞😞❤️🙏🙏💯 !!!
Sorry but I’ll never eat deer meat. My family did hunt deer but I wouldn’t eat deer meat. I have like 7 in my yard they know I will not hurt them. Just not my thing. I can raise my own garden too.

This is what happens when some tree hugger puts out corn and apples. A deer starts thinking people are your friends. Don’t teach them that. They eat grass and plants and acorns and other things.

Yes I have actually. I have a couple of deer that are extremely friendly even though I don't feed them. I've had a couple of several week old fawns play in my sprinklers just a few feet away while momma watches.
