Perfect lay down!!! A dead tree is a danger to the redwood forest for fires and falling on the road. Has to be managed.

For those who are NOT aware, this was a DEAD TREE. ⚠️ It was very dangerous to leave standing this close to a road 🚸 or buildings.🏘 The ratchet straps that they have around the lower part of the tree are so that the tree can't ❌️ splinter 💥 as it starts falling. When a tree splinters 💥 at the base, it is very dangerous ⚠️ as the tree 🌳 could fall in just about any direction 🛑 without warning and seriously injure 🚑 or kill ☠️ anyone nearby. Strapping the 🌳 allowed the crew to safely fell the tree 🌳 exactly where they wanted it to go.🎯 Now that it's on the ground, they can carefully remove the straps when they cut the tree 🌳 into smaller pieces 🪵to haul away. 👍💚💪👏😎

Who fells a tree like that onto a paved road??!! You KNOW that roadway was damaged and will need repairs at the city’s, county’s or state’s expense. That means they just cost taxpayers money unnecessarily.

a tree of that size in its prime, could probably produce enough oxygen to supply 8-30 average adult humans with 2-6 years worth in only a year.

The sound of the tree falling told me it is dead and rotten. I live in Western Washington. I remember back in the 50s and 60s all the logging trucks. A friend of my parents was a logger and talked about his job. Sixty years later, l still remember him teaching us various techniques of cutting trees down.
