When the new baby cried it startled the little girl and she didn't understand why the baby cried. Her reaction was " Oh no don't do that 😲 " then the light slap of her hand. She just needs to learn that the baby was sleeping 😴 and away from mom's loving arms. Baby knows mom's body odor. Doesn't know little sisters just yet. 🥰🙏

I understand wanting children to be involved with & accept their newborn siblings. As a Mother & Grandmother I know that most often doesn't happen easily. Protecting the newborn is more important than making the older sibling feel included. Before they have any & every contact they need to be told, retold & reminded repeatedly of the rules. The rules are no hurting, harming, hitting, slapping, smacking, smothering, suffocating, choking, chopping, cutting, pinching, punching, poking, dropping or dropping anything on, throwing or throwing anything at the baby. Don't give them the opportunity to break the rules. If they're very young expect & accept that they will break the rules. It's perfectly normal but you'll be better equipped to predict & prevent any harm to baby.

My brother and I were a little older than this but...we were outside eating a piece of cherry pie. He "somehow" fell and split his forehead open (stitches were needed). I told my mother and the doctor that the cherry pie did not want to be eaten and pushed my brother. Of course, O was totally innocent...💕

These comments are crazy! This is a child between 1 and 2 at most! Kids this age don’t know any better and have to be redirected sometimes! Many kids this age hit! You take the time to correct it! You all in these comments talking about the mom probably abused the kid, the kids will grow up to be jealous of the baby! Like some of you are super weird! These siblings may grow up to be very bonded together!
