Is this a JOKE? After DECADES there’s no final plan, instead it’s different OPTIONS of possible scenarios being proposed, decades after voters approved the initial funding of $10B for a rather specific project that had a TOTAL projected cost of $35B, with a completion date FOUR years ago and no track has been laid? So there still isn’t a final plan, $15.6B has already been spent, estimated completion costs are $130B+ for a much smaller project, and there is NO FUNDING PLAN that doesn’t include ADDITIONAL BILLIONS from the federal government? California still owes the federal government $20B+ for loans to fund the estimated $30B in fraudulent unemployment claims in California caused by California not having adequate verification of claims; and California has the largest unfunded public pension liability of any state ($200B+) that’s not being addressed, and has requested $40B+ for wildfire recovery. The simplest option builds a rail line that will continue to lose money every year. NO!
