I have been reading some of the comments, and no one understands if the driver is a good driver she would have saw the woman letting her child out the car and came across the road before it took off. The bus driver is supposed to be vigilant at all times

He was too little and young to be getting on the bus alone, mom should've been out of the car walking with him.

It’s the mother’s fault . Why wasn’t he at the bus stop ..
someone need to be held accountable you need to look both ways you know look before you leap maybe they will be more cautious if someone is being held accountable you make sure car drivers are accountable with the cameras and speed cameras bus drivers need to be held accountable as well they speed I know because I see them speeding I am outraged
There needs to be a bus/vechile safety awareness day/week program at all schools. Many parents are not going to teach their children to be careful around vehicles or crossing roads. Vehicles have blind spots, and we can't expect people to see smaller kids in every situation. If the kid walked close to the bus, the driver would not have seen him. I made sure my child and nephews knew to walk behind buses . If they had to walk in front of one, to leave a lot of space so the driver would see all or their most of body. I taught then precautions on crossing the street and walking around other vehicles as well.
Putting the blame on a grieving mother is not the answer. Prayers going up for this family🙏🏾
I guess I am an overprotective mom because I walked my children, while holding their hands, to the door. And, you should NEVER move anyone who may have broken bones. People are so quick to throw blame. It's just an unfortunate, sad accident.
I’m so sorry for this Mom’s lost. I lost a 20 yo daughter May 14, 1988, and just hearing about this baby’s death brings tears to my eyes! My heart goes out to the Mom, and may God bring comfort and peace to her and family! 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾

Negligence is the issue. Who cares if they weren't impaired when this child is gone because of the person that was operating the bus! Sending my deepest condolences to his family and school mates. I can only imagine.

Some of these are horrible. People need to stop blaming either one of them. I am sure the driver is devastated by this. She has to live with this every day for the rest of her life. As for the mom, her world as she knew it is gone, her life was destroyed in a matter of seconds. Instead of assigning blame, everyone involved in this tragedy needs our prayers and support 🙏🙏🙏

Prayers to the family. As former school transportation manager, we urge parents to be at the bus stop 10 minutes prior to p/u so they are in a safe, designated location. We ask them not to let the kids sit in vehicles or building vestibules waiting for the bus to approach as it is a major safety hazard and clear of driver blind spots. I hope they have these rules in place and actively enforce them

I cannot believe the comments. A child has lost his life. Can't we show some respect and be supportive to the family for their loss. Other questions can be addressed later. Parents, please, don’t let the rush of life rob you of discernment. Don’t let convenience override protection…Cover your children. Watch them. Pray over them. Walk with them.The enemy is bold and he's not waiting until they’re older…Lord, have mercy on this family. Wrap them in a peace that only Heaven can give.
