What's freaking me out is that the turtle's 🐢 shell is attached to their back skin. How would you like to be lifted by the skin of your back?! The intense pressure on the skin would tear it from your muscles. 😲

i caught one about half this size out of the lake i grew up in and they are very real and get huge. it’s rare they get this big but obviously it’s possible
when I was growing up from the age of 3 to 5 Animals like this where are playthings along with gators ,leeches, wild boar, poisonous snakes in and out of the water but alligator snapping turtles was my favorite and still have all my fingers and toes

We caught one crossing the road when I was little in Ohio. Thing filled the trunk of our old '50's Buick! Took our step dad & two of us kids to get it in there, didn't know how we were going to get it out! Went to our cousin's, they all got it out then made turtle soup.

I had one I don't know what time he was but I know he was in alligator snapping turtle I had to give him to a animal rescue because he got too big for my home he was snapping in anything that came close to the aquarium and tearing to the screen I had on top trying to get to my cats but I never knew they were cannibal and when they get to be that big how do you know that that's all they're reading is other little turtles and clams I'm pretty sure anything that gets close to his mouth he's going to snatch it like a big fish catfish any kind of fish anything that gets close to his mouth 🤔

We caught 1 like that crossing the road in Texas. Filled the entire back of the Toyota up. Was going to give it to my G.F. mom to cook up. Left it in a barn til she got home. It pushed its way THROUGH the barns wall & disappeared into a massive corn field w no water for 50 miles. Never did find it. HAD to get it out of the car. It SMELLED HORRIBLE!! Nasty creatures.....
