looks like he passed out from fear. found 1 on my porch once & thought it was dead. nope just passed out. I didn't touch it but googled about it & left alone. it came around at some time & took off. had another one with her babies on porch, they were pretty big, hanging in & out of pouch nursing. its what I seen first & looked further to find momma. she was just laying nursing them

I shot the rodents out her in the country area. And if the eat fleas and ticks why do my outside cats have ticks and fleas on them? They are filthy and annoying. Can't feed my cats when it starts to get dark because they come in to eat their food. Bird feeders get destroyed because they climb the tree for that food. They hiss, growl and lunge at someone when that person tries to get them to go back to the woods, so when they want to do that that's when a 22 magnum comes out. People are going to dislike me for saying this, but I don't care. Those people are not putting up with these pests.

If he's actually still alive, he's WAY too old and therefore way too heavy to be held by the scruff of the neck. That's putting way too much weight and pressure on the trachea, and it's also painful. Just like with cats, only tiny kittens ought to be scruffed, and then with older kittens/very young cats, when they're scruffed, it's better to support their hind legs with another hand. With cats, they shouldn't be scruffed AT ALL because of what I already mentioned involving the throat and pain. You would think that this information would be intuitive and even OBVIOUS, but apparently some people live in a state of constant oblivion.
