This may be AI but I am a retired RN after 40 years of nursing. The reasons I stopped doing Home Health Case Management in rural areas is because I've been in homes that looked exactly like this, except there were no rats visible during my visit. I have spent 45 min standing up filling a patient's medication pill box because I was scared to sit for the roaches were all over the bed, chairs, walls, floors etc. I only took my BP cuff, pen & paper never a coat, sweater or purse. I thoroughly cleaned everything with alcohol long before hand sanitizer became the norm. One house I refused to stay and do the visit they had raw sewage all over the floors that had been that way for several days, I came out took my shoes & socks off, placed them in several plastic bags drove home bare foot. Placed my shoes/socks in the outside trash can. That was my last home visit. There are people who actually live like this with trash & garbage all over the floor, beds, tables & chairs.
Yes This lady needs help ASAP. This is not about red state are blue.this is about a person that need some Kind of medical services.look at the house you can tell she needs help,I pray someone would come alone and give her the support that she needs deal with ever she's going through. All my love and prayers are with her ..

I had a friend who lost her husband. After that she gave up, her big dog got old and she was in so much grief that she just let him pee all over the rug. When the dog died she had five cats and she gave up on everything. When the ambulance came to bring her to the hospital because she didnโt take care of herself with diabetes. She died and the neighbor was watching and feeding her cats her apartment was so trashed her entire bathroom floor she had been putting the litter on the floor and not cleaning it. The entire building stunk we had to pull up all the carpet and clean before we could do anything. I ended up with one of her cats and the poor thing had yellow paws from not being able to clean them in a filthy house. Itโs so sad when they give up โค๏ธโ๐ฉน
