The only one who profits is the state. $61.2 billion income tax revenue up from $53.8 billion the year before. Prices go up, workers make $10 extra a week if lucky and the state rakes in billions. Best part is they act like they are doing workers a favor.
Raising minimum wage has never helped a single person in history!
So prices go up, and everyone in the “middle” suffers because inflation doesn’t have effects on us? I’m sorry I made minimum wage for maybe 2yrs in my late teens, but weird thing is I received raises, learned skills for other jobs where was hired above minimum wage and received more raises, learned more skills blah blah rinse repeat. Minimum wage is exactly like it states, minimum, one should not be trying to have a family, a family is far above minimum. Better yourself increase your value stop being “unimportant”
Now minimum wage raise would be great if everything else didn’t also go up don’t you see the pattern here always robbing Peter to pay Paul. Minimum wage could go up to $30 an hour and you still wouldn’t be bringing home anymore than you are now how do you people not see this?
