if I'm not mistaken this is a form of persimmon they're very small and that man just took the pit out with a little contraption they're not bad tasting if you get them ripe enough you're comparable to another persimmon it's just a smaller just make sure they're very very ripe before you attempt to eat them

Around here they need to have a frost to get ripe and sweet. Before that they are bitter. I seldom get any of the fruit because the deer or my dog get to them first
