Horses do fine with a little snow on them. They grow thick winter coats in cold climates that keep them warm. We baby our horses by blanketing them during bad weather. I blanket my horses when it rains or when we get the occasional snow storm.

One would think that horses, with their short coats, would not like the cold snow. but one would be wrong. Horses seem to love the snow and will roll around in it if outside. Are there any studies about why this is so?

Once when it was 28 below in WV, I saw a dead cow in the field frozen stiff on its back with feet straight up in the air. Animals need to be sheltered when it’s a certain temperature.
i love horses and think they are beautiful But very expensive if you really take care of them, But I know some people neglect them like one of my old drivers had 2 horses one for her and one for her husband and both people were close to 300 pounds ok I just thought damn those poor horses gotta haul all that weight around sounds painful lolol anyway I she told me that they let out the horse both in the morning and lock them outta the Barn so they didn't have to clean up there poop and that day it was cold and pouring rain ok so I just thought that was cruel

i think there are some people that are too tall and heavy to be riding a horse !! I know there expensive if you really take good care of them, a old friend once told me they lock their horse 2 of them outta there barn so they don't have to clean up there poop, I think that's cruel
