Funny a communist country let's you refuse to sell, but in the U.S. imminent domain you must sell.

That’s called foolish pride. I don’t think his family would want their house near Highway. They should’ve just moved it.

Called a "Nail House". Though this has happened, many are forced out of their homes. Oftentimes homes even being destroyed in the middle of the night even with residents still inside. Research: Despite the laws, the process can involve intense pressure. Homeowners may face harassment, utilities (water and power) being cut off, or intimidation by developers' hired agents. In some severe cases, which are widely considered abuses of the system, forced evictions have occurred, sometimes involving violence, though these are technically not permitted under current regulations without specific court procedures.  There have been numerous documented cases where homes in China were forcibly demolished by machines, sometimes in the middle of the night and even with residents still inside or nearby, after owners refused to move.

I find this VERY hard to believe. the Chinese Communist Party doesn't ask you, they tell you you're selling.

why not build the bridge higher?

if that had been in america the state would've declared imminent domain and taken it from them without paying anything.

this happens in China because their government has built without restrictions and infact has inflated their economy on a housing market that is never coming look it up Chinese ghost cities not too mention a lot of the construction companies operate like Japanese businesses that go up and collapse the same day or defunct or lose all the investments they received from the Chinese people

ya here in USA I lived near where they put in a highway they forced closure on the businesses then gave them the money they said it was worth there was no choice government is above the people here and more and more laws home of the free is no more let's math if there is just 100 new laws a year in 100 years how many laws will have been added ya exactly to many

Fake or not, I just find it amusing that they left that one nice little span open. Sure be a shame if a cement truck lost control and plowed through that flimsy little concrete barrier. I guess that extra section of bridge span we got sitting in storage won’t go to waste after all, and look it fit perfectly, almost like it was made specifically for that spot.

first of all they could have just up the height to go over the building instead of making one lane, and secondly if that was China those people have no rights against the government they would have just been thrown out of house or killed or both so please make better videos that would be more accurate

I agree. this doesn't sound like the Chinese government. those people will simply disappear and the house would be gone in about 5 minutes!

Here's my question, so China is supposed to be horrible and so communist, yet they didn't just take this shit over like they would have here. Think about that

avator

That’s BS. China is a communist dictatorship. They could take that house in a hot second if they wanted it there is something more to this story.

avator

Not. That would never happen in China. The house would be demolished with the occupants in it if they refused to leave

Chinese government would take that in a second without any regard. Imminent domain is not an issue in china.

Now the home is worth NOTHING!!! Because who would buy the home now with a highway wrapped around the house's exterior!!! Better to have taken the funds and bought another place in memory of their parents.
