landlords are ridiculous now. you been living there years and they expect the place to look like it did when you rented it! not going to happen!! it's called life!! things happen, stuff gets dirty, things get holes in them....normal for you isn't necessarily normal for someone else..🤔🤔🤔

I got hit for leaving a couple of holes in the wall and was charged for garage door opener after I handed it to the lady who did the walk through. $55 for the remote and $50 to have it programed. I got less then half of my deposit back. They charged me for painting the apartment, which is supposed to be repainted every 5 years by landlord. we lived there for 10 years. it had rained the night before the walk through and they tried to hit me for them being dirty. I lived on 3rd floor. I took them to court and 3 times my money back plus my whole deposit. They even tried to hit me for the uneven flooring that was there when we moved in. I took pictures of everything before we moved our furniture in and after we moved it all out. that's what saved me and got all that money.

my apt mgr told me that I would need to plug anything larger that a dime. I had a Russian landlord who sent his adult daughter to inspect the house at moving time, she gave us a thumbs up, no problems, dad wouldn’t give us deposit back, he found burned out light bulb! We took him to court, he never showed up! A year or two later the house was bulldozed
