Kids at home have balls and toys they play with. They are no different in public. Personally I think they should have give him another ball. He’s at a game that he to young to understand. I would bet money that the ball girl doesn’t have children or younger bothers or sisters.

This child is a toddler, and he is still learning actions have consequences. He saw a toy that he wanted to play with, and literally had no idea of its importance. The blame rests with his parents. They left him unattended, when they should have been stopping him from getting into the court to begin with, then teaching him not to take something that wasn't his.
