underground bunkers and hyperloop encapsulate the roads with the hempcrete tunnels project the natural scenery
Keeping it straight, grabbing gears and trailer brake at same time is a pretty busy bit of business right there. Well done
love the idiots who have no idea how to, or when to use a Jake break... its a tool people, if you dont know how to use it, ofcoarse you'd say he shouldn't have use it. That's a trucker there, not a steering wheel holder. he handled that like a seasoned pro.
😂
how in the hell do you lose your CDL when you hit ice
Trucker did a great recovery, but kudos to the other drivers with sense enough to get out of the way. They all worked together to prevent a disaster.
He qualifies for his DL under Gov Gavin NewScum
he did that 👍
I've been there , it takes a skilled driver to control a truck in that kind of slide .🤔
Skill this coming from another CDL driver
Foot off the brake. — steered it. It’s scary. Been there. You just make way. First big truck! 😲
Both. It was a good recovery and he is lucky that the other drivers on the road were smart enough to get out of his way!
Downhill 80k lbs on ice and didn't hit anyone .... should be self explanatory
He had skills the 1/2 mile skidding and sliding & hearing him through the engine retarder on all at 1 time so I'd ride with him anytime & in any conditions cuz he SHOWED pure confidence & skills under pressure 💯🔥🚛🛣️👍🏻👍🏻🤟🏻😉
Pure luck!! any one with skills WOULD NOT be using a Jake brake on ice. The trailer will push the tractor and cause the jackknife. if anything at all you use the monkey tail very gently so as not to lock up the trailer tires. pure luck!
It was Skill; considering he continued DOWN SHIFTING...& STEERING instead of touching the brakes.
that was pure skill!!!!
Skilled driver. He went to the top of the lane to give the trailer space to straighten out IDK anything about Jake brakes and who cares if you're supposed to use them or not. He diffused the situation and everyone was safe. I don't think luck has anything to do with it. It was his day to be safe.
DEFINITELY SKILLED , I KNOW A BIT MY HUSBAND WAS A GREAT TRUCK DRIVER !!! I FELT VERY SAFE WHEN HE WAS DRIVING HIS TRUCK AS HE CALLED IT !!! 😲 I DROVE , WHEN HE WAS DONE PROFESSIONALLY , 💕 I WOULD DRIVE WHATEVER WE HAD AT THE TIME !! HE SAID THERE WASN'T MANY PEOPLE THAT HE COULD SLEEP WHEN THEY DRIVE !! ONE ONE ME THOUGH !! HE WOULD SAY WAKE ME UP WHEN WE GET TO YOUR SISTER'S HOUSE !!! WE LOST HER TO CANCER AND HIS SISTER TO CANCER TOO !! THEIR NAMES CINDY LEE AND CHERYLANN !!! YES AND MY HUSBAND ALSO , WHAT THE HECK TOO MANY LEFT . MY FAMILY IS SORT OF SMALL!! DONT IKE IT !!! MY DAD HAS BEEN GONE THE LONGEST , HE WAS A GOOD DAD , NOT PERFECT WHEN IT CAME TO FAVORITES , OTHER THAN THAT , HE WAS MY DAD AND I LOVED HIM AND 🥰💕 LOVE HIM STILL, HIS DAUGHTER , WIFE , SISTER AND SIS IN LAW !!! NANA I LOVE YOU ALOT , YOU WERE SO GOOD TO EVERYONE AND ALOT TO GIVE
Skill 100 %
dude in the black pickup saw that shit a mile away n was like yikes on bikes NOPEEE 😆😆 same buddy same! big trucks terrify me. I get nervous around them as i lost a friend while riding motorcycles on the highway.. it was only her 3rd time on the highway ( PLEASE DONT MAKE ME FEEL WORSE I ALREADY SUFFER FROM PTSD AND SURVIVORS GUILT) we was in a large group i had been riding for about 10 yrs at that time n i ALWAYS made sure some of the 1st n best advice i could give imho was UR NOT UNTOUCHABLE REMEBER THAT! ITS NOT A MATTER OF IF U GO DOWN BUT WHEN AND ANY REAL RIDER WILL TELL U THAT. EVEN IF ITS JUST U DROPPING IT AT A LIGHT BECUZUR TOO SHORT FOR A 1000 N FORGOT U GOTTA LEAN TO 1 SIDE OR THE OTHER AT A RED LIGHT 😆 so u can reach the floor 😆😆 ask me how I know 😆😆🤭🤭 also always told them to b weary around trucks
what most of you are complimenting this driver on are probably missing the point that it was most likely the Jake brake that cause the skin in the first place
That’s what old school truck drivers have experienced when it comes to down shifting and controlling the slide and trying not to shit in their pants….all the while praying. Got to give it up for experience 👍🏼
I have to say that I did that once with the dump truck when I was on snow and ice patrol. My God, I was sideways and everything else, but I pulled it out of there without hitting a car that was coming toward me almost hitting an abutment on a bridge but once the last car passed me, I gassed it hard and put it back on the road….. oh yeah I had some close calls, but I know that I was one of the best drivers we had…
all skill there is no luck in that industry
It was the hand of Jehovah guiding the truck through those cars!!!
for starters...why in the holy hell was he running the Jake's on that ice!!!!🤔
breaks on ice, plus he's a movers have the knowledge navigating city street. In my opinion.
For all the comments saying you don't use a Jake on Ice...I think he proved you wrong in this case and the negative comments about drivers in front of him not getting over...that's just the opposite of what I saw...the immediate taking to social media and sending a negative comment of another person's action culture has got to stop...maybe the road way was not icy until that point and that's why Law Enforcement was sitting there warning drivers...happens everywhere in the World...please let's stop with being negative towards our Brothers and Sisters...find something positive to comment about.
not too skilled. almost hit 2 cars
GREAT job driver! Navigated down a slick hill and kept himself and other drivers safe as well. Doesn't matter if he had to use his jake brake to do it, it got done and nobody was hurt or injured!👍 need more drivers like this!!
he didn't almost lose his CDL.... he just proved that he has one.
Skilled driver right there. 👍🏼
having been a truck driver for 43 years I say well done the driver did the right thing. for all you school boys they tell you not to use your Jake break it's cuz you got no idea what your doing. GOOD JOB DRIVER
That was skill
what in the hell is he using his Jake brakes for that stupid
skill baby pure skill
I think he knows what he’s doing.
stay off the Jake, don't downshift, trailer brakes gently
i would say a little bit of both 🙏
He did excellent. May God bless you all 🙏
One thing for sure on icy roads or black ice or when temperature is at freezing point you never use your engine brakes.
Little bit of luck for a skilled driver!
why? not his fault!!! people don't realize they can't just stop....I thought he did amazing!!! he gets award!!!!! impressive!!! even on dry pavement when cars cut them off, there asking for death sentence.. it's not like a car suv whatever .. that car ahead was smart.. get out the way..or you'll be way out in prucker brush..
No-one was injured & no crashed cars, handled it like a pro. Beautifully Perfect 🙏💕
Is that a real engine brake sound?
skill and people getting out of the way
That took S K I L L S!
That is one helluva skilled driver ! 😲😲😲😲😲🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸
that was skill right there!!!
Skilled. I can hear the Jake's and the shifting at great timing.
Skill. He was still downshifting.
That truck driver good. He was trained well.
Not for nothing forget luck 🍀 that’s all skill stop playing 💪🏾💯💯
I can tell you from experience, that is a very well-trained driver who knows what he is doing! he likely had to stop soon afterwards, to change his underwear and acquire a large can of lysol, but the braking you hear in the video, tells me that he was making one hell of an effort!!
🙄🙄🙄
Great save
Idiots need to slow down
skilled driver
He's a hell of a driver we need more drivers like him
A true pro.
I would say that’s skill for sure.
Both
luck
I thought he did a pretty good job 😁i commend the man
He sure as Hell wiggled his way outta that one, I'd chock that up as being Skill and regained control by a seasoned Trucker!! 👍👍👍
He's obviously not skilled at all or he wouldn't have had to avoid hitting like that at all....🤦♀️
truck driver got skills 💯🎯🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🥃🥃🥃🥃🥃🥃
it's skill. he never touched the breaks if he would have that would've been it
