This camera work is making me seasick. Can't tell what the hell is happening.
Just start lowering the bucket, that action will allow it to bleed down slower because it gives the fluid another path instead of blowing out like it is, it will relieve fluid preasure at the leak, the bucket isnt even half extended, he'll be OK, worked with hydraulic and pneumatic systems most of my 67yrs, hes in no real danger as long as he stops going up, and starts to lower it, just sayin,
there's a safety for such an occasion, he'll be fine 👍🏻👍🏻

I had something similar happen to me on a bucket truck cutting trees.My boss changed the hoses,filled up the hydraulic fuel and I was back to it in less than a half hour.

Either it will slowly go back down once all the hydraulic fluid is gone, or There is a safety feature that locks the lift in place. he will need to do 1 of 2 things at that point A: the dumb way. Climb over top and shim down or B: the smart way. Wait for help. Either way, he is just fine.
