Where's the air hose filling the tire with air? All you're going to have is a burnt, unmounted tire...

Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. With small tires, I take a belt to wrap around the middle of the tire and collapse the middle, pushing the bead towards the rim lip to get a seal.
