I have no experience in this, but even I could tell that there was too much top weight on the side facing the house for the tree to follow that cut path. I'd fight whoever filmed because they clearly knew and said nothing.

His position cut is way too shallow. That cut is way too thin at the base of separation.. Otherwise known as "the shelf".. Needs to be about two more inches of thickness and a longer bottom cut.He was working against gravity. But the tree is way too big for this notch.. His back notch wasn't even close to correct
