Little boys arenโt usually ready to be potty trained until they are 2. ( girls are ready sooner). Most toddlers are walking between 9months and 1 year. That doesnโt mean that some wonโt be earlier or later. They are ready when they are ready no mater how often parents put them on the potty. That said, I never asked my older son to check the youngest diaper, and my sons were 9 1/2 years apart.

Checking the diaper of his sibling shouldn't be his responsibility whatsoever. Be an adult and do your own checking of the diaper.๐

He may be big for his age. Not all kids potty train at the same time. I had one that was afraid of going on the toilet. He'd pee on it but that's it. Drove me batty but I worked with him and got past the fear. It may have seemed like a silly fear to me but to him it was real.
