It’s illegal to enter your apartment without a notice.it has to be at least 24 hour notice. I would go to code enforcement or take him to court for illegal entry.

of your landlord has anything to do with cameras in your house you are renting that is a problem. I'd be having someone look over every inch of that home to make sure there are no hidden ones. I would not trust this situation. Start saving for that move now.

that landlord is a creep. he has no right to enter your apartment without proper notice. and you can also tell him that you want to be present when he enters your apartment. him helping himself to what's in your refrigerator that is theft. he has went through your whole house guaranteed and he probably have set up his own cameras. the cops I would file a complaint against them for not doing their job properly. they know that the landlord is supposed to give you notice. just like they know that they can't make somebody leave a home if they have established residency. so the cops failed you. I would documentate every bit of this and I would take him to court and I'd get all my money back because I would tell the judge he made it a hostile place and unsafe for me and then I want my money back and moving expenses. hit him in the wallet maybe he'll learn a lesson maybe take his freedom away maybe a little learn his lesson. but this guy is a predator

It's definitely not ok. Most states require a 35 hour notice before they can come in your apartment.

It is a Civil Action at this point. Landlord vs. Tenant. The Landlord is violating the Tenants Rights under the Lease Agreement. Police do not arrest anybody for this. They Advise the Tenant of her Right to a Civil Lawsuit. If this was somebody other than the Landlord, the Police would have no problem a arresting a Burglar or Trespasser for "Breaking and Entering". In this case, the Landlord has a Key.

I rented an apartment from an older man who was always making creepy remarks to me. One day I got out of the shower and he was standing there. I called the cops , but they did nothing bc he was on the town council.

regardless landlord should not be there unannounced nor moving and blocking cameras to hide what he is doing. police officer should be redirecting his trifling aas and not supporting the scumbag loser

Maybe they knew the landlord. They know tenants rights and they know that if he didn't give her a notice he needs to get out. She needs to report them.

In NJ, unless there was an emergency, oh like a flood, the landlord needs permission from the renter, Or if it is for maintenance, the visit needs to be pre approved by the tenant

So what’s about that comment? I can’t even move out because he’s always in here? Are they dating or something? Is he living there with her and now she’s calling him just a landlord what’s the deal? Something else is happening?

Landlords anywhere are not supposed to be able to be into your apartment unless they give you 24 hour notice or unless you call them
