I used to be a school bus driver and always one of my kids sat behind my seat this is back in the '90s mind you and always had a pad and a pen to write down the license plate and what kind of car it was and I got 15 drivers 15 tickets went out to them by the police it was the best method back then that I ever thought of and these kids were proud of getting the bad guys because my kids were not going to get killed amen that they have advanced in this🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
If that person ever saw a wreck involving a school bus and a pickup truck they wouldn't ever run the stop sign on a bus. This happened in Tuscaloosa, Alabama on November 21st 2025.

I live in Southern Maryland every school bus has a camera on it now to take pics of the vehicles that pass the bus when the red lights are on and the registered owner of the vehicle gets a ticket in the mail. The first ticket is $250
if you don't know by now to stop when a school bus has got his flashers on turn your car to the side of the road turn it off get out and never drive again😂
in Idaho if it's a road like that with 4 lanes 2 in each direction you don't have to stop when traveling the opposite way as the bus. now if it's single laned roads you have to stop.

Actually this looked like its a four lane street. In our city the traffic going the opposite direction do not have to stop for the bus. The two lanes going in the same direction is required to stop. The driver going the opposite direction did not do anything wrong unless he was speeding.
Looks like they were perfectly fine continuing on. How about we just don’t have bus stops which force minors to cross the road? Pick up from the side the doors open on an only that side period. Boom. Problem solved.

I got hit by a a truck going 60 mph when I was 13 walking across the high way to get on my bus for school I was lucky to survive I’m now 22 with a lot of health problems that I shouldn’t have to deal with but shit happens

I saw a post a couple of weeks ago that has an absolute solution to this very dangerous situation. The bus driver will maneuver their vehicle to where it's at a 45° angle where nobody can pass. I am not part of any school administration, so I don't know if that is something that only one school decided to do or this is something we can ask all of the school districts to look into this. There's nothing more precious on this earth than our little babies.🙏

Why does it matter if the other side moves? Or anyone tbh I mean if the kids are getting in on the safe side of the road I don’t see the issue? I mean just be cautious. Kids who are old enough to take the bus are also old enough to learn to be careful of their surroundings and should know better than to run into oncoming traffic.
