If that person ever saw a wreck involving a school bus and a pickup truck they wouldn't ever run the stop sign on a bus. This happened in Tuscaloosa, Alabama on November 21st 2025.
I used to be a school bus driver and always one of my kids sat behind my seat this is back in the '90s mind you and always had a pad and a pen to write down the license plate and what kind of car it was and I got 15 drivers 15 tickets went out to them by the police it was the best method back then that I ever thought of and these kids were proud of getting the bad guys because my kids were not going to get killed amen that they have advanced in this🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
if you don't know by now to stop when a school bus has got his flashers on turn your car to the side of the road turn it off get out and never drive again😂
I live in Southern Maryland every school bus has a camera on it now to take pics of the vehicles that pass the bus when the red lights are on and the registered owner of the vehicle gets a ticket in the mail. The first ticket is $250

Actually this looked like its a four lane street. In our city the traffic going the opposite direction do not have to stop for the bus. The two lanes going in the same direction is required to stop. The driver going the opposite direction did not do anything wrong unless he was speeding.
Looks like they were perfectly fine continuing on. How about we just don’t have bus stops which force minors to cross the road? Pick up from the side the doors open on an only that side period. Boom. Problem solved.

in Idaho if it's a road like that with 4 lanes 2 in each direction you don't have to stop when traveling the opposite way as the bus. now if it's single laned roads you have to stop.

I saw a post a couple of weeks ago that has an absolute solution to this very dangerous situation. The bus driver will maneuver their vehicle to where it's at a 45° angle where nobody can pass. I am not part of any school administration, so I don't know if that is something that only one school decided to do or this is something we can ask all of the school districts to look into this. There's nothing more precious on this earth than our little babies.🙏
When I was a bus driver in OH, we were able to call in the plates of drivers that ran our red lights, to the police!! I did that on 3 drivers. 1 actually apologized. The other 2 I took to court! Very, VERY satisfying! Their usual excuse was “we didn’t see the bus!!” Morons!🤦🏻🤬

I drive a School Bus 🚍! You would not believe the amount of times this happens! I live in Baker County Florida. Population less than 29,000. 🚓Sheriff Rhoden and His Staff🚔 does the best He can in coverage with revenue provided! Law Enforcement can not be everywhere! Many times it is up to the population to get the word out to stop this! Only 🫱YOU and I🫲 can stop this from happening!

I have seen it where the bus driver cuts into the other lane to block all traffic, then let's the kids out. Smart move!!

It’s the law! You must stop for School Buses! Or when a pedestrian is in a crosswalk! Which unfortunately a lot of people in Maryland have a problem with! I had one guy at a Walmart crosswalk shake his head at me one morning when I was using a legal crosswalk! The stupidity of these actions just piss me off!🤔
Pennsylvania the fine is around $300, not high. it's the at least sixty days suspension of your license and 5 points taken from your license. your insurance is going up or dropped by your carrier, there's the expense.

in bucks county they are spending a lot of money to catch all of you who don't stop with hi tech cameras that catch everything even your license plate number. they did make a deal with the townships is a percentage of the fines the recovery to help pay off these new cameras, which I think is fair.
