It’s funny because my grandma and grandpa lived long lives 106 years for grandma and 98 yrs for my grandpa. No man on earth should be handing out sentences like this. There’s no authority higher than that of the Lord himself. He should simply say Life without parole.

The outrageous number of years people get is only one example of the defective judicial system we have in our country. There are people that need to rot in a cage for their actions. No argument there. But the system and those who work within it, have shown over and over that it it can't be trusted. Fair. Just. Benefit of the doubt. Corrective measures. Public safety. All that shit has been gone for decades. Arresting officers. District Attorneys and even the Judges are people without honor or integrity who used their knowledge and understanding of the law to victimize citizens who cannot afford a proper defense.

I worked in corrections in the jail and in the prison as a social worker/therapist and some of those inmates just don't care so what she said made a lot of sense because if she got 150 years. she ain't going to live that long. she's right. one of my inmates went to see a correction officer or his PO in another room. grab a pen and stabbed himself in the neck. they just don't care. their spirit is broken and it could have started at home🥺
