There was a gentleman who came to court in his blue-collar working clothes. Jeans, safety vest, hard hat and boots. The judge told him was inappropriately dressed. The man told him he came on his lunch hour. And was working to support 5 kids. The judge threw him out. If they are dressed for work and are decent, I see no problem whatsoever. No saggy jeans, shorts etc... just be clean and presentable. Going to court is not a formal affair. These are working people. Get over it!
The man in scrubs knew he had court and should have changed his clothes like other people, being in the healthcare field does not exempt his actions. What if he were an oil field worker? Would he get away with not dressing properly?

My son is a doctor too and I highly doubt he would wear scrubs with a stethoscope and name badge to a court hearing.

Well if the judge would get off his power trip society has not made life black and white there's a vast gray area in life and surgeons schedule is extremely harsh and there's very little time for anything else in life even when at home in the middle of dreamland they have to be ready to leave for an emergency surgery he could've been between surgeries or just getting done or on his way it's a job for the strong not faint of heart. if you can't see the gray area you can't be a good judge.

What many do not understand here is such a thing called respect. When you do not show up in court properly dressed you are saying you have no respect for our criminal justice system. It does not matter what the offense is. If you cannot show simple respect by proper dress in court, do not expect the court to give you time in return. This defendant thinks his profession gives him the right to violate meters, over talk the judge plus telling the court how to run. He is getting a tongue lashing which he deserves.
