I saw nothing in the video that contradicted his awards.
If you are really inclined to find out if they served, or they didn't, the first thing you should ask them is what was their MOS ( military occupational standing). I served in the Marines 50 years ago and they might have changed MOS to something else, but asking a similar question will either get at immediate answer or a lot of stammering and hesitating going on. Every service member has a MOS. I can't tell you how many guys couldn't tell me their MOS even just a few years after I was discharged...... Honorably.....😉

Navy does not have mos; we would say what is your rating; i.e. engineman. I was an engineman or diesel mechanic . I served and I do not know what that means.

True military members never go back to previous ways. reach for doors the way they did in the service,the walk the way they did in the service. it's hard to explain, but once military always military, part of them never stops being in. I scared a man who had been in service because I blurted out what he'd been and everything. it just popped out. He pulled me aside and grilled me on who I was,how did I know....it really freaked him out.

I just ask what unit they were with. I've had people tell me army units while. claiming to be Marines. it's so obvious it's laughable. If they say they don't remember the unit they were with...you NEVER forget the unit you were in in combat.

😆 he actually makes himself look good by putting paperwork in his personal records and learning how to build up his reputation. The YN didn't do his job when I saw a lot of things missing in my personal records and a lot of other people also learned that they had the same issues.
